DenLas30  -  the most versatile Laser for Dentistry  -  CE0482

The advantages of optical tissue cauterising over the thermal method, include the reduced damage to the surrounding tissue and the creation of a more solid and longer-lasting clot, with greater benefits to the patient.

Diode laser wavelength 980nm
The manufacturer of the dental Laser DenLas30 is using a 980nm diode, which has unique and different absorption characteristics vs. standard 810nm to 830nm diodes. With significantly higher absorption in water, the 980nm diode cuts more optically than thermally, meaning it is the absorption of the laser energy vs. a more thermal effect (i.e.- heat from a 810 to 830nm diode), which is primarily responsible for the cutting and coagulation. With this wavelength (980nm) there is no requirement to carbonize the tip of the optical fiber. The result is minimal depth of penetration (<300 microns) and clean efficient cutting in a virtually bloodless field with no char layer.

The manufacturer of DenLas30 is ISO 13485 certified and DenLas30 meets the provisions of Directive 93/42/CEE.

A wide range of optical fibers available enhances the functionality of this system to include replacement of packing cord (laser troughing) and sterilization of endo canals. The 980nm diode is also cleared for the light activation of bleaching materials.DenLas30 is extremely popular with general dentists, periodontists and cosmetic dentists concerned about precision and aesthetics.

Surgical handpieces

                                                                                                                                Dental bleaching handpiece

Highly flexible and compact
DenLas30 is currently one of the most versatile lasers available to dentists. It can be connected to domestic power supplies and does not require maintenance. It is light and easy to carry and comes complete with a full basic-accessory set: protective goggles for both patient and dental surgeon, autoclavable handpiece and optic fibres included.

Accessories
a) Attachments for universal handpiece:
    - rigid straight and curved cannula, various lengths
    - cannulas that can be moulded and modelled by the dentist to suit all requirements
b) Large handpiece for canine/canine arch whitening.

Easy to use
Preset treatment protocols for all types of procedures can be easily selected and even modified by the operator to suit requirements using the control panel.

Advantages
- The reduced need for anaesthetics is seen by patients as a great relief.
- Ideal for the treatment of patients suffering from phobias, children, pregnant women and those
who are allergic to anaesthetics.
- The reduction in bleeding and cauterising effect on small blood vessels make it possible to
keep the surgical field clear at all times.
- The immediate desensitising action represents a considerable benefit for many patients.

(Non-surgical Low Level Laser Diode  -  Galium Aluminium Arsenid  -  e.g. MediLaser.) See here.
Low Level lasers engage Diode laser technology to reduce pain [hypersensitivity], enhance the healing process, and treat TMJ. Acting as an analgesic, these devices stimulate blood flow and increase cell activity resulting in pain relief, antiinflammation, muscle relaxation and increased tissue healing. They can be portable and be battery operated and come with a dental contact lens. They are not surgical devices and are not meant to cut and/or coagulate dental soft tissue.
